Review: Customer Event on September 27th
Last month, we invited customers to Berlin to introduce new features on our online video platform and to give a future outlook.
Even more important to us than sharing feature updates was the feedback that our fantastic customers gave.
In recent months, work has been concentrated on further optimizing the platform. In addition to solving minor bugs, the focus was on stability and performance. A security audit has been prepared and the REST API has been further developed.
Our information management has been significantly improved. On the following portals you will find everything you need to know about our online video platform:
- • Docs Portal https://docs.3q.video
- • Status page https://status.3qsdn.com
- • GitHub https://github.com/3QSDN
For live streaming and VoD we have introduced Video SEO. We have switched our video encoding / transcoding to the high-performance Kubernetes.
Our player has been pimped, has received an UI / UX update and also the engagement tracking has been improved.
Overall, the 3Q Player is a real eye-catcher. With the js3q Player Constructor, the frontend has complete control over the player. All details are well documented at GitHub and on https://3q.video/en/adaptive_html5_video_player.
What to expect from 3Q in the near future?
Introduction of new codecs
- • HEVC / H.265
- • AV1
New ingest procedures for live streaming
- • SRT
- • HTTPS DASH
- • CTA trigger
- • P2P streaming with StriveCDN
At the end of the day, we went aboard the MS Heidelberg and cruised the Berlin government district. The icing on the cake to round off a successful day.
Thank you for your active participation and open discussions. We really have the best customers ever :)
